Sex offender arrested in Aberdeen assault

ABERDEEN — Police received a call over the weekend that a man was dragging a heavily intoxicated woman under a bridge in Aberdeen.

When officers arrived they found a 39-year-old man having sexual contact with a 42-year-old who had passed out. When she came to, she said she was unaware of anyone having any physical contact with her and that no one had her consent.

KXRO reported that the man initially gave a false name. He was identified as a registered sex offender from Oregon, wanted for a parole violation. He was jailed in the Aberdeen city jail for investigation of indecent liberties.
