MARYSVILLE —Someone fired multiple rounds from a car into the parking lot at a Marysville apartment building Wednesday night.
No one was hurt.
Witnesses saw the car drive past the apartments along 47th Avenue NE, across the street from Liberty Elementary School, said Marysville police Cmdr. Mark Thomas. The car pulled over in front of the building. Gunfire was reported just before 7 p.m.
An unoccupied car was struck, Thomas said. The suspect was gone before officers arrived.
“We don’t have someone driving up and down, and shooting at random into parking lots,” Thomas said. “This seems to be intended.”
A stretch of 47th Avenue NE was closed for about two hours while detectives investigated.
