WESTPORT — The Grays Harbor County sheriff’s office says the skull found in a crab pot off Westport doesn’t match anyone in a national DNA database.
The skull was sent to the FBI crime lab in Quantico, Va., and run through the Combined DNA Index System and no matches were found.
The sheriff’s office said the results show the skull does not belong to Lindsey Baum, the girl who disappeared more than four years ago at McCleary.
KXRO reported that the DNA profile indicate the skull is from a female, age unknown.
The skull was found Feb. 21 in a crab pot about 2 miles off of Westport in water about 100 feet deep.
