EVERETT — The source of a small diesel spill at the Everett Marina remains a mystery.
Officials with the state Department of Ecology were alerted to a diesel sheen visible from Anthony’s Restaurant around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, spokesman Larry Altose said.
Port of Everett officials used absorbent pads to try to mop up the spill, Altose said.
A search of the marina and the nearby Snohomish River did not pinpoint the spill’s cause.
Most of the sheen was dispersed by winds, although it remained visible in parts of the marina this morning.
