LYNNWOOD — South County Fire seeks people to serve on pro and con committees to prepare statements for the voters pamphlet on a proposed emergency medical services levy that will be on the Aug. 7 primary election ballot.
The proposal is for a property tax of 50 cents or less per $1,000 assessed value. If approved, it would replace two existing voter-approved EMS levies collected by Lynnwood and Snohomish County Fire District 1 with a single EMS levy paid to South County Fire.
Voters in Lynnwood and unincorporated areas of Fire District 1 will see the proposal on their ballots.
To serve on a committee, apply by noon April 27.
