Mariner High School special education teacher Kim Perisho recently attended The Summit of International Inclusive Education in Nanning, Guangxi Province, China. The event was sponsored by China Cerebral Palsy Network, One Foundation, and Angel House, a rehabilitation and education center.
Perisho spoke about how Mukilteo students benefit from inclusion education and how general education teachers provide something that special education teachers cannot — a real-world setting — which is important for students to experience in order to achieve future success as employees.
