SPOKANE — The 2014 budget proposed by Spokane Mayor David Condon would hire 25 new police officers and four firefighters.
The Spokesman-Review reported that the nearly $600 million plan submitted to the city council Monday night also calls for a 2 percent property tax increase.
The council will hold public hearings on the budget this fall.
