Stanwood bank robbery under investigation

STANWOOD — Detectives are investigating a robbery reported Saturday at the Wells Fargo Bank on 270th Street NW in Stanwood.

A man entered the bank about 10:50 a.m. armed with a small, dark handgun, Snohomish County sheriff’s bureau chief Kevin Prentiss said. The man then ran away with the cash.

No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as about 6 feet tall and 230 pounds. He is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s.

He was wearing a black ski mask, sunglasses and a teal, nylon golf-style jacket. He also wore white gloves with black polka dots.
