Suspect arrested after Granite Falls property crimes

GRANITE FALLS — Police hoping to crack down on a series of property crimes in the Bogart Meadows neighborhood of Granite Falls have arrested a suspect for investigation of identity theft.

Granite Falls Police Chief David Bowman said the suspect, 21, is from Granite Falls. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on Friday.

Police will be meeting with people living in the neighborhood on Monday evening to answer questions and provide crime prevention tips.

Some precautions people can take include making sure doors are locked, putting away loose change inside cars and leaving an outdoor light on at night.
