EVERETT — Police have arrested a man suspected in several robberies at Everett-area pharmacies over the past two months.
People who lived near the man thought he resembled the robber who appeared in surveillance video stills earlier released to the public, according to a police affidavit. They called police, who tracked the man to an apartment complex a few blocks from one of the pharmacies.
The man, 25, of Everett, was arrested without incident on Wednesday night, police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
“We couldn’t have done it without the help of our citizens,” Goetz said.
The man was booked into Snohomish County Jail, where he remained Thursday. The man reportedly told police he robbed the pharmacies to feed his addiction to prescription drugs and to pay his rent.
