Suspect charged in Walla Walla informant killing

WALLA WALLA — A Walla Walla man accused of killing a police informant was charged Monday with murder.

Walla Walla County prosecutors said Daniel Dodd, 43, shot Kevin Myrick last June because he had bought drugs from Dodd’s girlfriend and was a possible witness in the case against her.

The Union-Bulletin reported that the girlfriend, 42-year-old Tina Taylor, pleaded guilty and was sentenced in August to more than eight years in prison for delivering hydrocodone within 1,000 feet of a school bus stop.
