EVERETT — Police believe an argument between a landlady and one of her tenants may have triggered a fatal stabbing on Sunday evening.
Officers rushed to the 2300 block of Colby Avenue at 6:30 p.m., Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
The apartment building’s landlady, 64, was in the foyer with multiple stab wounds, Goetz said.
She was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, where she was pronounced dead, Goetz said.
After interviewing witnesses, police arrested a 58-year-old man living in the building in connection with the killing, Goetz said.
Investigators believe an argument between the two may have led to the stabbing, Goetz said.
The suspect was not speaking with police after his arrest.
