MONROE — The suspect in a stabbing in Monroe on Friday night has been booked into jail for investigation of first-degree attempted murder.
The Snohomish man, 32, is accused of stabbing a 34-year-old woman multiple times.
The victim remained hospitalized on Tuesday, according to police.
The man also was hospitalized for a time due to injuries he suffered while being arrested.
The stabbing was reported about 7 p.m. Friday in the area of the 100 block of W. Hill Street.
During the arrest, the man was shocked with an electric stun gun, according to police. Officers at the scene also used other kinds of force that haven’t been disclosed.
The Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team is investigating. The team is deployed to investigate when police calls result in serious injuries or death.
