LYNNWOOD — A Lynnwood teen was being held for investigation of felony harassment Thursday after he allegedly made threats to “shoot up” Lynnwood High School.
The freshman, 15, allegedly was overheard on Wednesday saying that he had a gun and he was “going to shoot up the school tomorrow,” said Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton.
No weapons were displayed but the teen’s comments caused others concern, Ireton said.
When confronted by deputies on Wednesday night, the boy initially denied making the statements, then reportedly said he was only joking.
He was booked into Denny Juvenile Justice Center in Everett.
