MARYSVILLE — The teenager pulled from a lake near Marysville has died, police confirmed Saturday.
The man, 19, had gone swimming at Twin Lakes Park on Friday afternoon. He failed to surface and was missing for about an hour before rescue crews pulled him from the north lake.
Paramedics attempted life-saving efforts and he was rushed to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
The teen later died, Marysville Cmdr. Jeffrey Goldman said Saturday.
His name and hometown have not been released.
At least 10 people have drowned in Snohomish County so far this year, including several children. An 18-year-old man drowned in the Skykomish River on July 1. The day before a 10-year-old boy died after being pulled from the Stillaguamish River. A week earlier another 10-year-old boy drowned in Lake Roesiger.
There also have been a number of close-calls, including teenagers and young children.
