Toddler missing in Stanwood found safe

STANWOOD — A missing toddler was found safe in Stanwood on Tuesday afternoon.

The 3-year-old girl’s babysitter called police about 12:30 p.m. to report the child missing, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

The search lasted about an hour. A family member had picked up the child but didn’t tell the babysitter.

A rescue helicopter assisted with the search.
