LYNNWOOD — A couple of teenagers were struck by a pickup Sunday in Lynnwood. The truck appeared to have ran a red light, police say.
The pickup was heading east on 196th Street SW around 3:30 p.m., said Lynnwood police Cmdr. Sean Doty. Meanwhile, another vehicle was turning off Poplar Way on to 196th Street SW.
The vehicles collided. The impact caused the pickup to skid into a crosswalk where a group of teens were walking, Doty said. Two of them were struck.
The teens, between the ages of 14 and 16, were taken to the hospital as a precaution, Doty said. Information on their condition was not immediately available.
