Woman found dead in Everett apartment fire ID’d

EVERETT — Officials have identified a woman found dead in an apartment building fire in Everett on Dec. 15.

Wendy A. Pirring was 47, of Everett, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. Pirring’s cause of death is pending further investigation.

The cause of the fire also remains under investigation.

Officials earlier said they don’t suspect foul play in the death.

The fire displaced dozens of people. The building was under a condemnation order from the city before the fire. It has been ruled unsafe to occupy since the fire.
