Woman hospitalized after assault in Everett

EVERETT — A woman was rushed to a Seattle hospital Wednesday morning after being assaulted in south Everett.

The woman reported being punched and slashed about 11 a.m. in the Wendy’s parking lot in the 11900 block of Highway 99, said Shari Ireton, spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The woman knew her attacker, Ireton said.

The suspect was described as being in his late 20s. He had a tattoo on one arm. He wore a white T-shirt and jeans.

Anyone who sees him should call 911.
