Woman killed leaving Union Gap movie theater

UNION GAP — A woman who was shot while leaving a theater Thursday night in Union Gap has died, KNDO-TV has reported.

Police Sgt. Monty McNearney told the Yakima Herald-Republic that multiple shots were fired about 8:40 p.m. as the woman was leaving the Majestic Theatre. She was taken to a hospital where she died, reportedly of a head wound.

Bullets also shattered a glass door.

Police surrounded a nearby Toys R Us store and searched the roof. Police say they’re still looking for suspects.
