TACOMA — A woman was killed and a man wounded Sunday in a drive-by shooting at an east Tacoma intersection.
Police spokesman Mark Fulghum said the man told officers there was no confrontation before a white minivan pulled alongside their car about 10 p.m. Sunday and shots were fired.
The van sped away. The woman, who was driving, died at the scene at East 64th Street and Portland Avenue. The man was treated at a hospital for a wounded arm.
The News Tribune of Tacoma reports officers found the minivan abandoned a short time later a mile or two from the scene. It had been reported stolen.
