EDMONDS — Two women were struck by vehicles within 12 hours while wandering across busy roads in Snohomish County.
In Edmonds, a woman attempted to cross in the middle of Highway 99 around 7:10 a.m. on Thursday, police said. She was dressed in dark clothing, according to a social media post by the Edmonds Police Department. A vehicle that was traveling north near 238th Street SW struck her.
The driver stopped. Medics took the woman to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
She suffered serious leg injuries, police said.
Collision time 7:10 am. Pedestrian, unidentified female in dark clothing, crossed in middle of highway. Driver northbound and stopped after the collision. No DUI or Hit &Run.

Information about her age and hometown were not immediately available.
In Everett, police received reports of a woman wandering in and out of traffic around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. She also was wearing dark clothing. Officers found her in the 11000 block of Airport Road. She was seriously injured.
The driver of a Chevrolet Silverado stayed at the scene.
The woman, 30, was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
