LAKE STEVENS — A woman who was shot during a home-invasion robbery near Lake Stevens on Tuesday has declined to speak with detectives.
The woman, 37, has not said whether she knew her attackers, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. She was shot in the leg and is expected to survive.
The robbery was reported about 6:30 a.m. along 107th Avenue SE, just south of town. Two masked men, at least one of whom was armed, forced their way into the home, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said. In addition to shooting the woman, the men stole undisclosed items from the home. No further description of the suspects was provided, Ireton said. Their identities remained unknown as of Wednesday.
