MUKILTEO — A young woman from Mukilteo who was reported missing Wednesday morning was found safe a few hours later.
Eunice Ko, 18, had been at home in the 7200 block of 48th Avenue West on Tuesday night. Her family discovered she was gone Wednesday around 6 a.m.
She had left a note for her family saying goodbye, Mukilteo police officer Myron Travis said. The note reportedly mentioned her struggle with recent personal setbacks and anxiety. Ko didn’t take personal belongings with her.
She called her parents around 1 p.m. and told them she was at a museum in Seattle, Travis said. Detectives picked up Ko and took her home.
“I am always concerned when anyone is missing because the outcomes are so uncertain,” Mukilteo Police Chief Cheol Kang said. “Certainly I am pleased that Eunice H. Ko was located and she has been reunited with her family.”
