A slap for a wipe

Can Reardon hold his litter bag? Kevin Hulten, the former aide to former county executive Aaron Reardon, was fined $1,500 and ordered to work five days on a work crew following his guilty plea for evidence tampering. Hulten admitted to downloading a program to wipe the memory of his county-issued laptop while he was under investigation.

Hulten will be allowed to delay his community service picking up litter until his wrists have fully healed from the slapping they received.

That’s a keeper: A spokeswoman for Montana Rail Link said the first of three Boeing 737 fuselages, which plunged into the Clark Fork River after a train derailment, have been pulled from the water.

As with other prize catches pulled from Montana rivers, the 737 will be stuffed and mounted for display in a mountain cabin.

‘Dude, I’m totally good for it’: Among the first licensed marijuana stores expected to open today in the state will be Cannabis City in Seattle. But the owner is waiting until noon: “Know your audience; we’re talking stoners here,” the man said.

Along that line, the shop owner also is expected to be handed a lot of I.O.U.s today, too.
