Down the Tubes: Pop music stars Eminem, Taylor Swift and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis were among the winners during the YouTube Music Awards, the social network’s first foray into music awards.

Although he’s earned critical praise for his new album, Eminem’s win was seen as a surprise for a YouTubie, considering he was up against Mr. Whiskers, a piano-playing cat with 26 million views.
