Air study over, stench back big time

How were the powers that be at Cedar Grove able to so effectively contain the stench during the summer of 2013 while their air quality “study” was taking place? The findings were released, and guess what, the results were inconclusive. What a surprise! I guess the lesson here is that corporations always hire their own consultants to perform studies; and in that way they can control the outcome. And yes, I do realize other entities were involved and picked up a portion of the tab, but Cedar Grove’s consultants were hired to do the study.

I live in Marysville and am one of the many residents affected by Cedar Grove’s stench. During these hot summer days, the smell is thick and so heavy I can almost taste it. Many people in my neighborhood, including myself, have had to purchase window air conditioners or heat pumps so that we don’t have to open our windows. I’m sure the residents of North Everett feel the same way most mornings; the stench was unbearable when I got out of my car on July 29. It almost made me sick just walking from my car into my place of employment in north Everett.

So, Cedar Grove management, I’d really like an answer to just one question for me and everyone else affected by your stench: If you could so effectively control this obnoxious odor last year, why is it that you can’t or won’t control it this year?
