Congress has once again reaffirmed its devotion to political party over its commitment to constituents. The recent vote to shut down the government is somewhat below despicable.
Their No. 1 job is too provide a budget for the operation of this country. They have instead, once again, unequivocally failed on their oath of office to the Constitution of the United States by choosing party politics over the citizens they are supposed to serve. Hiding behind any issue, and I don’t care what issue, is no excuse for lack of leadership and shows complete failure in their present elected office.
This is a prime example of why we need term limits. They continually find it more important to assign blame on the other party, when they need look no further than their own mirror. They are the ones responsible! Yet, they attempt to insult their constituents by blaming anyone other than themselves. They work for the party and feel accountable only to their party. They are a bunch of professional politicians who are more concerned about their next bribe in the form of a campaign contribution, not their constituents!
