Any similarities to 1980s’ slide?

Regarding the Oso mudslide: I’m surprised to not hear references to the 71 Fire Trail Road slide in the 1980s. The volume seemed to be larger than the Oso slide. (Refer to your archives.) The slide is located approximately 10 miles NNW of the Oso incident.

Everytime I am on the fire road, I stop to see the drastic slide. (No one was hurt.)
