Caring citizens help hundreds of students

Wow! Thanks to our amazing, caring community and outstanding, dedicated volunteers here at Sky Valley Food Bank, we were able to distribute backpacks filled with school supplies to 586 students.

After months of collecting donations and sorting and stuffing backpacks, we distributed them to students from kindergarten through high school during the last two weeks of August.

It’s a pleasure for all of us to send students back to school with new supplies and smiles on their faces.

Thank you to our great community for all the backpacks, binders, pencils, crayons, paper and other supplies donated, and a special thanks to Costco for the donation of 300 new backpacks.
