Cancel Doomsday: Archaeologists have found a small room in Mayan ruins with astronomical records that span as far as 6,700 years into the future. The scientists were intrigued the Mayans went to such lengths with their astronomical projections and were probably “geeks who just got carried away with doing these kinds of computations.”
Other evidence in the room supporting the “Mayan geek” theory were empty Doritos bags, wall etchings of superheroes and a fan letter to Stephen Hawking.

Won’t have to stay at the YMCA: Victor Willis, best known as the motorcycle cop in the Village People, won a court judgment for at least a third of the copyrights to the songs he co-wrote in the late ’70s.
The judge’s only condition was that Willis apologize to anyone who’s ever had “Macho Man,” “Y.M.C.A” or “In the Navy” stuck in his or her head for more than 24 hours.

Swiss authorities assured her that even without citizenship her money can stay in a Swiss bank account as long as it likes.
