Cilantro, dude

Taco Bell plans to soon roll out a new upscale menu at its 5,600 U.S. restaurants. The new dishes, created by celebrity chef Lorena Garcia, will use ingredients such as cilantro and chicken marinated in citrus and herbs.

Chef Garcia said her assignment was to create dishes for what she calls “the Taco Bell experience” — which The Buzz presumes is a 1 a.m. food run after a “1000 Ways to Die” marathon on Spike TV.

80-proof puzzler: A state lawmaker, who apparently wants to be the most popular man in Washington, says he’ll introduce legislation to require stores to post the full price of a bottle of liquor, including those nasty two taxes, on display shelves.

The Legislature doesn’t convene until January 2013. But in the meantime, look at the bright side: Mentally calculating the real cost of a bottle has to be good for your brain health.

Count Charles: His mother’s Diamond Jubilee over, Britain’s Prince Charles has slipped off to relax at one of his favorite places: Transylvania.

Details of the prince’s visit were kept private, to thwart a particularly pesky paparazzi named Van Helsing.
