After reading Sid Schwab’s Feb. 10 column, “Paine Field noise numbers are little too governmenty,” I have a different view. Anyone who buys a home near an airport and believes there will be no noise, and that things don’t change, must believe in the tooth fairy.
Maybe he should make a dry run to Sea-Tac and find out how long it takes to find a parking space, get into the terminal, check in, and then walk half a mile out to the departure gate.
Then drive to Bellingham. Park your car, walk 150 yards average to the terminal and get in line for check in. Why shouldn’t Snohomish County taxpayers have the same easy access to these flights?
