Throw another mastodon on the barbie: A new study says that ancient humans may not have started regularly using fires for cooking until as recently as 400,000 years ago. Other researchers have said that cooking fires have been used as much as a million years ago.
Supporting the more recent finding was the discovery that most gas grills didn’t have electronic ignitions until 350,000 B.C.

But think of the frequent flyer miles: Russia has increased the individual fares it will charge to take U.S. astronauts to and from the International Space Station to $63 million from $56 million.
On top of that increase, it’s $5 million for the first piece of luggage and $10 million for each bag after that.
