Today’s political climate is in such a poor state that we have almost become used to the polarization and the us-versus-them attitude that comes along with it. What happened to statesman who were able to garner respect, even in light of disagreement, from both sides of the aisle? We do not see many instances of this today at the state or federal level.
At the local level, however, I have been very pleased to see that our Snohomish County Councilman Nate Nehring has earned endorsements from respected leaders in both political parties. Nate is a Republican and has garnered support from conservatives such as John Koster and Dino Rossi. He has also earned the support of independents and even moderate Democrats such as former County Executive Bob Drewel and County Sheriff Ty Trenary. This is a great testament to Councilman Nehring’s ability to work with others in order to get the job done as he has been doing since joining the Snohomish County Council.
Nate Nehring represents all of his constituents well with his leadership, hard work and humble character. We are lucky to have him as our representative on the Snohomish County Council.
