Deniers have it backward

Global warming deniers, who think that severe winter weather in Dixieland disproves climate change, are sorely mistaken. Warmer poles reduce the temperature difference between the poles and the tropics, causing wild swings in the jetstream. The jetstream separates the warm air of the tropics from the cold air from the poles. These wild swings allow frigid air to escape the poles. Ice in Atlanta is evidence of the truth of climate change.
