Regarding the article, “For a dying father, a tattoo was his last gesture of love”:
Very rarely do I get so worked up by articles in your paper. This story on Monday by Debra Smith is a rare gem indeed. The reader is lured in with what should be your average “goodbye” story and suddenly is thrust up close and personal into a young man’s final moments. His unselfish love for his wife and his kids is a story that should be remembered by all.
Where do we get such young men? What drives a man who has lost everything to give everything in his final moments of life? All I can say is this is a wonderful story that needs to be remembered by all who treasure family and the meaning of love. It simply does not get any better than this. With all the bad news in this world, this story has given me hope that even in death, love can conquer all. I am sure the family of this fine man, his relatives, and all the knew him can be proud of his life and even more so in how he faced death.
