‘Fact check’ was an opinion piece

A news article should be news, not propaganda, and certainly not opinion masquerading as fact. A news article on page three in Friday’s edition headlined “Democrat fact check” belonged on the opinion page, as many of the “facts” presented are opinions without any factual support given. A re-reading of last week’s Herald coverage of the Republican speeches unveiled no similar story of the prevarications spoken by Paul Ryan that even Fox News admitted were lies.

Actually, the headline use of the word “Democrat” is incorrect as the article mention three different democrats, not just one as the headline would imply. Or perhaps the usage was meant as a pejorative.
