Fare hike to hurt disabled, elderly

I’ve been to a couple of meetings concerning the Everett Transit (June 6 article, “Everett Transit cuts, changes set for final review”). They will change some routes. What concerns me is that come January 2013 they want to raise the bus fare. I am a disabled person; a lot of disabled people rely on the bus as well. Also, senior citizens, and oh, yeah, don’t forget our vets who serve our country. For those on a fixed income, 25 cents means a lot. I would like the transit board to revisit the decision.
