Ogg renew subscription to Man Cave magazine: New tests show that cave paintings in Spain are at least 40,800 years old, raising questions as to whether the artists were early modern humans or the oft-maligned Neanderthals. Some anthropologists doubt Neanderthals were advanced enough to create and appreciate art.

Instead of paintings, most discoveries of Neanderthal caves have found the walls decorated with Farrah Fawcett posters, stolen road signs and Oklahoma City Thunder pennants.

Sitting on the dock of the bay: Oregon’s Department of Parks and Recreation learned that it will have to pay between $80,000 and $240,000 to dispose of a dock that beached itself after it floated from Japan after last year’s tsunami.

Looking to save money, Oregon instead decided to tow the dock to Penn Cove, set it on fire, let it sink and let Washington state deal with it.

Bitter Former Sonic Fan Thought for the Day: An estimated 6,000 people attended a Seattle rally Thursday in support of an arena proposal that could bring an NBA team back to Seattle.

But when told that $200 million of the project would be publicly funded, the 6,000 fans went home and booted up the ‘79 Sonics on their Xbox 360.
