Fun size iPad

Take two; they’re small: Apple formally introduced its iPad Mini, offering an iPad that is smaller and lighter than the full-sized model but with a bigger screen than the iPhone. Before he died, Apple founder Steve Jobs reportedly discouraged development of a smaller iPad, believing it an awkward size between his two popular products.

Being the visionary he was, we’re pretty sure he didn’t want to be responsible for Apple fanboys carrying around Minis in fanny packs.

Patrons of the arts: In a 4-3 ruling, New York’s highest court determined that, “however artistic or athletic their practiced moves are,” lap dances can’t be considered art and thus can be taxed by the state, unlike ballet performances, for example.

The strip club that filed the lawsuit announced that to qualify for the tax break it would now fit its dancers for tutus and turn the stripper poles horizontally.

Get fit with jack-o’-lantern LaLanne: The Lynnwood Recreation Center is offering an autumnal fitness class where participants hold and lift 6- to 8-pound pumpkins while completing various exercises.

Just remember, however artistic or athletic your practiced moves are, hefting an orange gourd while exercising is not art and can be taxed. But you can make pumpkin pie afterward.
