Generosity brought Christmas to many

What a joy it is to run a food bank in such a generous community! Our citizens came together again this year to provide a warm and joyful holiday for all their neighbors in need! Thanks to you, Monroe, the Sky Valley Food Bank had enough food to provide a wonderful Christmas meal for 412 families. Even better, because of your generous giving, we were able to provide toys to 609 children!

We saw more food and toy drives in businesses around town this year than ever before, and all the schools in town helped tremendously, just like always. Our 10-year-old hero, Abbey Aney, worked all year long collecting thousands of toys. And in memory of another of our heroes, Diane Wilton, her family continued her annual tradition of providing an overflowing Christmas stocking for every one of those 609 children! We couldn’t have done any of this without all of you!

Thank you, Monroe, for living out our motto — Neighbors Helping Neighbors — and filling our town with the generous spirit of Christmas giving, all year long!

Neil Watkins, Executive Director

Sky Valley Food Bank
