The long good riddance: After having chased Conan O’Brien from “The Tonight Show” in 2010, Jay Leno will step down from the late night NBC show, handing over the reins to current “Late Night” host Jimmy Fallon when the show moves to New York City next year.
Leno said he had no immediate plans for his retirement but said he was looking forward to forcing O’Brien out of his TBS show and hosting “The Conan Show with Jay Leno.”

No, sucking in your gut isn’t going to help: A small airline in the Pacific island nation of Samoa is basing its airfare prices on the weight of passengers. Depending on the flight, each passenger is charged 93 cents to $1.06 for each kilogram (2.2 pounds) they weigh.
Those hoping to save a few dollars on airfare will be handed an air-sickness bag before check-in.

Limited engagement: A survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finds that 48 percent of young women say they weren’t married when they first lived with a man. Women are increasingly using living together as a testing ground for marriage. About 40 percent of the women polled said they married the man they were living with within three years.
The other 60 percent said they were giving it another year to see if he could learn to put the toilet seat down.
