I’m Corey Ihler, brother of Chris Ihler, a candidate for Snohomish County Council. For ten years Chris dedicated countless hours helping elect local public officials. Chris listened to thousands of Snohomish County voters and he cares about your voices.
Recently the political establishment backed Nate Nehring for an appointment to the Snohomish County Council. Nate was the 21-year-old son of the mayor of Marysville, and this is his first real job. Chris believes in supporting political leaders, but when they appointed someone who is completely unqualified for one of the most vital positions in the county, it is clear politicians are not looking out for the best interests of our community.
Chris wanted to know how the people in our community felt about this appointment, and after 200 individual conversations, it was clear that the people in our community were angry and wanted an alternative. Chris has the perfect mix of financial, business and political experience to be our voice on the Snohomish County Council.
Every day I hear heartbreaking stories from citizens that lost trust in government. They feel that Nehring’s appointment is another sign that politicians and political parties are out of touch with the needs of our community. Citizens ask me to thank my brother for running against what they perceive as government corruption at its finest. Chris Ihler is running for Snohomish County Council to restore faith, trust and accountability in local government. Chris puts people before politicians and political parties.
