I am amazed. I just read the Oct. 11 article about a woman who grew a pumpkin weighing two tons. (“Olympia teacher’s 2-ton pumpkin wins California weighing contest.”)
Imagine, a pumpkin weighing two tons, we could feed the world! Excuse me, what did you say? You are right, one ton equals 2,000 pounds. Growing a 4,000-pound pumpkin really shows why America is a leader in the world. Except in education, of course.
