Thank you Amy Nile and the Everett Herald for the Nov. 15 article, “Warm hearts sought to staff cold-weather shelter,” encouraging warm hearts to find our new, cold weather shelter in Snohomish.
We’ve sheltered people every night the temperature dropped to 32 degrees or below thanks to volunteers in our community — that’s 13 nights so far this season!
Monroe, Lynnwood, Arlington and Marysville also host cold weather shelters. Bundle up and consider sharing your warm heart at a shelter near you — more cold weather is here.
If you are interested in volunteering in Snohomish, our next free trainings are 10 a.m. to noon, Jan. 10; and 6 to 8 p.m., Jan. 12 at Snohomish Evangelical Free Church, 210 Avenue B in Snohomish. This is also the location of the shelter. People interested in volunteering may email, therese.quinn@snoco.org, call 425-388-5075 or just come to the training.
