One cannot convince me that the sour, garbage-like odor, tinged with a hint of mulch, that has arrived in conjunction with our spell of hot weather, isn’t coming from the composting operation. The source of this odor is as much in question as is identifying the real killer of Nicole Simpson. Anyone who watches legal dramas on “Masterpiece Mystery” can tell you that it isn’t so much about the actual truth that counts, but more about who can most artfully massage the facts to form their own version of the truth. That is what is going on here. Albeit the odor isn’t as bad as it has been in the past, but those who can put two and two together in the purest mathematical sense know the real source. What really stinks here is the how the sniffer results, both human and technological, have been parsed to come to this total non-conclusion. Excuse me! Most of us know the smell of sewage vs. the odor of decaying groceries!
