Am I hearing this correctly, that no one in Big Pharma wants to provide drugs to the penal system for those slated for execution by due process of law, yet they are not averse to dumping countless doses of opioids onto the streets and rural roads of this country? These opioids are responsible for thousands of accidental overdose deaths — my own stepdaughter among them. Let our building a wall between us and Mexico be put on the back burner, while we take a look at this issue.
I’m all for attorneys general throughout the country taking to task Big Pharma for their callous and negligent conduct on the issue of prescription opioid abuse. Trump can only trot out a half dozen families who have suffered loss of a loved one at the hands of an illegal immigrant. There would not be room on a dais for all of those who have lost a loved one to opioid overdose. If all those so affected showed up in D.C., then we would see in actuality the crowds on the Mall that Trump fantasized about his seeing at his inauguration.
