Painful season, yet GM remains

There are serious problems with our government and the world, so the problems with the Mariners are rather minor. Since many fans stopped watching or going to games months ago, they may not even be aware of the changes taking place! I continued to watch the games although it was been very difficult and frustrating.

At this point, I am so sad that Jack Z. has been given an extension and another excellent manager is leaving. Do fans remember Bob Melvin? The front office fired him … and he is now the manager of the Athletics who are on top of the AL West.

At one game, the TV announcer said there were only 9,000 fans at the game. He sounded very surprised.

I was amazed that 9,000 fans paid to see the two worst teams in the American League!

I wish Eric Wedge all the best and wish that he would be staying and Jack would be leaving. Wasn’t it Jack who sent Fister to Detroit … and who did we get in return? We do not have the best players but we certainly do not have the best GM. I am just grateful that this painful season is over!
