People should use powers for good

Every functioning entity has a place where the rubber meets the road. Usually what goes on at the bottom line is what is condoned and practiced at the highest levels of the entity. Any entity should have capable people in it that use their knowledge to benefit human beings. The use of knowledge and higher education in immoral and unethical ways is always bad for society as a whole.

Humans were born to help each other to be better people.
